7. Check the Transmission Pump

A worn transmission pump may lose pressure as oil temperature rises, reducing clutch clamping force.

8. Check Oil Level, Viscosity, and Filters

Low oil can cause starvation and aeration. Incorrect viscosity or filter restriction can also affect pressure, converter feed, and clutch performance.

9. Evaluate Load and Operating Conditions

Check payload, grade, gear selection, tire pressure, brake drag, haul-road condition, and rolling resistance before condemning a component.
